Members of the Utah Army National Guard, 1457th A Company 3rd Platoon from Price participate in a training activity at Fort Lewis, Washington. The troops dug the fighting position by hand using shovels and E tools during infantry lanes training. Soldier Kevin Berdan explained that this was an important training exercise which prepared the unit for deployment to the Middle East where the unit is currently stationed.

The Utah Army National Guard has opened a family assistance center in the Price Armory.
The newly established center will provide assistance to family members of deployed soldiers.
These family members may access help from the National Guard regardless of the deployed family members military branch or active and reserve status.
Information and hours of operation at the Carbon County facility are available to the public at 637-1743.
Any other information regarding the recent deployments of National Guard units will not be provided through this service.
