Local dancers scheduled to appear at annual holiday event.
Several local dancers have been selected to perform at the annual Stadium of Fire event which is scheduled to take place at Brigham Young University on July 4.
Each year, dancers from across the state audition by video tape and then cuts are made.
“This year 200 dancers were cut. For the fifth straight year, we have had dancers invited to perform,” explained dance advisor Pineau Nielsen.
Ashley Madrigal, Amy Callor, Jessica and Camilla Vea, Melissa Butcher and Tiffany Cloward will each participate in the program and represent Carbon County.
This year’s event will be choreographed by Julie Webb and Lauralyn Kofford who also choreographed the winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies last year.
