Cloyd Larsen


MURRAY- Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Cloyd E. Larsen, passed away peacefully in his sleep Feb. 1, 2003.
Cloyd was born May 20,1936 in Emery, Olive Lutilla and Edgal Oliver Larsen. He graduated from Carbon High School. Cloyd married Patricia Ruth Nordin, they were later divorced. He married Fran Applegate, they were later divorced.
He retried from the Utah Department of Transportation. He then worked for the Utah Public Employees Association, where he influenced others and had many friends.
Cloyd was happiest when he was with his children and grandchildren, the shining lights of his life. He was extremely proud of all of them and showered each of them with his love. He loved tinkering with his collection of classic cars with his cronies. He was a member of the Tail Draggers Club and the Utah Chapter of the Studebaker Club with whom he regularly enjoyed cruise nights and car shows. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and woodworking.
Despite ongoing health problems, Cloyd had a wonderful outlook on life and shared it with everyone around him. He was always willing to lend a hand and will be missed by all of us whose lives he has touched.
He is survived by brother, Craig J. Larsen, Price; son, Jeff and daughter-in-law Heidi, Venice, Calif.; daughter, Cydney and son-in-law James Woolf; his son Chad and daughter-in-law Audrey; his son Ryan and daughter-in-law Ginny, all of Salt Lake City; his grandchildren Ashleigh, Chase, Brock, Chandler, Mandy, Bray-den, Burke and Tate. Preceded in death by parents, Tilly and Edgal.
Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 5, noon, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State, Murray, UT. Viewing will be one hour prior to services. Interment, Emery City Cemetery on Thursday at 1 p.m.


Amelia Bonacci


EAST CARBON – Our loving wife, mother, sister and “Gramsie,” Amelia Compagni Bonacci, age 79, passed away February 2, 2003 at her home.
She was born April 15, 1923 in Sunnyside, to Ventura and Rosealia Pedetella Compagni. Married Carmin Bonacci Sept. 24, 1940 in Price.
Member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and lifelong resident of East Carbon. Amelia will always be remembered for her excellent cooking and sharing her Italian recipes with family and friends. She had a great love for family and made sure that everyone received a special card on their birthday. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.
Amelia will be dearly missed by family and a community of lifelong friends.
Survived by loving husband, Carmin Bonacci, East Carbon; daughters, Diana (Kent) Hough-ton, Helper; Judy Bonacci, East Carbon; son, Charles Bonacci, West Jordan; four grandchildren, Ron Law, Jennifer Robertson, Jeff and Jerrod Bonacci; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ventura Compagni Jr., Twin Falls, Idaho; and Frank Compagni, Columbia. Preceded in death by grandson, Cory; daughter-in-law, Kathy Bonacci; sisters, Ida Fratto; Gilda Bergamo, Lola Logston; brothers, Albert and Charlie Compagni.
Funeral Mass Saturday, Feb. 8, 10 a.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m. at the church in East Carbon. Family will be at the church Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliff-view Cemetery, Price, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
