While enjoying a fishing adventure June 26, Damian Olsen of Helper and his friend Mike Payne of Provo found the leak in the Gigliotti Pond which has been draining the fishing attraction. The source of the leak was a muskrat burrow, found between the spillway and corner of the dam. Division of Wildlife Resources aquatics manager Louis Berg plans to allow the pond to draw down beneath the burrow, which will then be repaired. In a few weeks, Berg hopes to refill the pond and return the pond into top fishing form for all Carbon County anglers to enjoy.
