Kena Adair
WELLINGTON- Kena Stansfield Adair, age 32, died July 1, 2002 in Wellington.
She was born Oct. 24, 1969 in Price to Terry and Shirley Moosman Stansfield. She married Neal C. Adair on March 1, 2002 in Price.
Kena was a longtime resident of Carbon County and attended schools in Wellington. She later graduated from Carbon High School in 1987.
Kena was an excellent mother and homemaker who enjoyed quilting and needlework. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family on the farm.
Kena will be missed by her family and many dear friends.
She is survived by her husband, Neal Adair; children Nicole and Shelbie Williams, Karlee and McKenzy Calvert, Levi and Ty Adair, all of Wellington; her parents Terry and Shirley Stansfield, Wellington;sister, Carrie (Paul) Young, Rich-field; brothers, Justin (Jenifer) Stansfield, Miller Creek; Jason Stansfield and Jeremy Stansfield, both of Wellington; grandparents, Ida Cook, Vernal; Boyd and Beth Moosman, Wellington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Jackie Adair, Wellington; brother-in-law, Steve (Dawn) Manzanares, Carbonville; sisters-in-law, Jeana (Dale) Wells, Wellington; Rosemary (Ryan) Wood, Salt Lake City; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Shane D. Stansfield; grandfathers, Lenard LaVar Stansfield and Don R. Cook; and cousins, Chris Stansfield, Travis Moosman, David Fletcher, John Moosman and DeAndra Vasquez.
The funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center. The family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Wellington City Cemetery.
Vera Regis
PRICE – Vera Callor Regis, a devoted loving and giving person to all, age 87, passed away July 2, 2002 in Price.
She was born Sept. 12, 1914 in Mohrland to Tony and Luisa Marchese Callor. Married Larry Regis Sr. Dec. 1, 1934, later divorced.
For the past 21 years, Vera resided with her constant companion, Jim Nichols, who died on Feb. 18, 2002.
Vera’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family and baking her famous bread, which everyone enjoyed.
She was a lifelong resident of Carbon County.
Vera loved gardening, yard work, crocheting, and will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends.
Survived by her sons, Larry (Robin) Regis Jr. and Fred Regis, both of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; Richard (Sherri) Regis, Price; brothers, Fiore “Chuck” Callor, Helper; Americo “Rick” (Leola) Callor, Carbonville; Joseph (Terry) Callor, Denver, Colo.; William “Bill” (Gloria) Callor, Helper; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by husband, Larry Regis Sr.; companion, Jim Nichols; sisters, Angie Colacito, Lena Tonel, Louise Caywood, Mary Parsons; brothers, George, Jack and Tony Callor.
Funeral service Tuesday, July 9, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
Lewis Dimick
WELLINGTON – Lewis Aaron Dimick, age 81, died July 2, 2002 in Price.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1920 to Aaron Plynn Dimick and Ellen (Nellie) Marshall. He was the oldest of six children. Married Betty Taylor on Nov. 23, 1946 in Orangeville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Sept. 7, 1955.
Lewis attended his first years of school in Sunnyside in a one room schoolhouse, complete with a potbelly stove. Graduated from Carbon High School in Price in 1939. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the beginning of World War II and served his country in the South Pacific between the years of 1941 and 1945.
Lewis was a good man, a quiet man and a deep thinker. He was honest and walked in integrity. A family man, he loved books, flying, CB radios, and was an active member of the Civil Air Patrol in search and rescue.
Survived by five children, two daughters and three sons; Janet (Gordon) Keele, Green River; Elaine (Bill) Bowman, Price; Daniel (Jean) Dimick, Brigham City; David (Linda) Dimick, Price; Donald Dimick, Clinton; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Velma) Dimick, Price; sister, Erma (Joe) Rendon, Grand Junction, Colo. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Betty; daughter, Kathryn; granddauhgter, Kami; and brothers, Edwin, Jack and Robert (Bob).
Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, at noon at the Wellington 1st/4th LDS Ward Chapel. Viewing one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, with military rites rendered by Orangeville American Legion Post.
Clarence Redmond
BALLARD – Clarence F. “Kelly” Redmond, age 87, died July 1, 2002 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1914 in Roosevelt to John Scott and Elizabeth Pearl Freston Redmond. He married Juanita Ruth Park March 17, 1947 in Clayton, N.M. She died July 8, 1979.
Clarence was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He and Ruth lived in Price most of their life, moving to Ballard in 1977.
He worked in retail sales for the Price Trading Company and he and Ruth operated Redmond Interiors, an interior decorating company.
He enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, trees and vegetables.
He is survived by a son, Kelly Gene Redmond, Wendover, Nev.; a step-daughter, JoeAnne (Bob) Hicks, Oregon City, Ore.; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Burgess, Roose-velt.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Hullinger Mortuary, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park, with military honors by American Legion Basin Post 64.
