Youth groups and college students from the community will be out Halloween Night, October 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. gathering food. The event is the annual Trick-or-Treat for food drive. Any nonperishable food items that can be donated would be greatly appreciated, says Kathy Murray of the CEU SUN Center. All donations go to the Carbon County Food Bank, that relies heavily on these donations to feed the people in the community.
“If you would like to get involved, your help is greatly appreciated,” says Murray “We would like everyone to coordinate with the CEU Sun Center to avoid duplications of areas.”
Volunteers should come to the college center between 4 and 7 p.m. to pick up the street assignments and official Food Bank Name Tag. The food will be taken directly to the Food Bank at 75 East 400 North.
“Your parents probably told you, you’re too old to go trick or treating,” she said to gathered students. “But this is your chance to dress up, have fun and do good at the same time.”
