Carbon High sophomore volleyball team competes at Region 8 tourney. The Dinos sophomore volleyball team competed in the Region 8 tournament Saturday in Lehi. The team which consists of five freshmen and four sophomores dominated the court as they won the Region 8 title. The Dinos captured the win after defeating Delta for the championship.
Womens bowling tournament to be hosted in Carbon County. The annual King Koal WBA Association tournament will take place Nov. 9-10 and Nov. 16-17 at Jensen’s Country Lanes in Carbonville and Gateway Lanes in Helper.
The team event will take place Nov. 9-10 with squad times at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. and an optional squad will compete Sunday morning if needed. This event will take place at the Country Lanes.
The doubles and singles event will be hosted at the Gateway Lanes in Helper Nov. 16-17 with squad times at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and an optional squad at 8:30 p.m. if needed. Also, an optional squad will compete Sunday morning if necessary.
Entry forms are available at both bowling lanes and may be turned into any WBA officer. Applications may also be mailed to Linda Marrelli. The closing date for entries is Nov. 2.
