The pressurized irrigation system replacing the open Spring Glen canal is nearing completion. Crews are working in Carbonville near the county cemetery. Frank Saccomanno expects the system to be completed before spring runoff starts to fill canals for irrigation. The closed system will save one-third to one-half of the water lost to seepage and evaporation.
