Making a contribution towards the new fire fighter training tower west of the Carbon County Fairgrounds on Dec. 14 were Richard Newsom and Kevin Snow of ConocoPhillips. The check for $10,300 was accepted by County Commissioner Tom Matthews. Newsom is the new Uintah Basin asset manager and Snow is the operations superintendent for ConocoPhillips.
Carbon County recently completed construction of the tower, which will provide a state-of-the-art training facility for Price City fire fighters as well as fire departments in the surrounding area. Newsom indicated that ConocoPhillips has a strong commitment to and a continuing involvement in supporting the local community.
