Kolton Dean selects a winner in the quilt raffle at Carbon Credit Union. Dean drew the name of the winner of the handmade quilt which was raffled off as a fundraiser to assist in medical expenses for the young Carbon County youth.
Dean has been diagnosed with magalencephalic leukodystrophy which is a rare disease. In fact, only six cases have been confirmed in the U.S., including Dean. The disease affects the brain, spine and peripheral nerves and requires constant medical attention. In order to assist with medical bills, the proceeds which the raffle raised will be donated to the Dean family.
