Betty Virginia Crissman
PRICE – The best nurse in the world, Betty Virginia Pessetto Crissman, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 18, 2002.
She was born March 16, 1924 in Castle Gate to Walter and Josephine Cormani Pessetto. Married Bill Crissman July 20, 1947 in Helper.
She graduated from St. Mary’s in 1946 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Betty was a lifelong member of the Utah State Nurses Association. She worked for Dr. John K. Wright from 1955 until his death in 1982.
Betty helped many people selflessly and loved the work that she did.
Survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Crissman; two daughters and three sons, Jack and Carol Bona-quisto, Bill and LeiLani Chrissman, Gina and Jeremy Evans; nine wonderful grandchildren; and one brother, Max Pessetto.
Funeral Mass Thursday, Aug. 22, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Wednesday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery.
Betty, the Nurse, was loved by many and will be missed by all. Her family always came first and they will always be her pride and joy.
Grace Behling
FERRON – Grace Oline Beach Behling, age 74, passed away Aug. 16, 2002 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 18, 1928 in Molen to Loran and Ruth Demer Beach. She married Clyde Behling Feb. 8, 1948 in Ferron, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Grace enjoyed sewing, going for rides with Clyde, caring for her home and yard, especially her flowers. She also enjoyed dancing with her “Get A Life” group and, most of all, just being with her family.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in numerous callings, most recently as a temple ordinance worker and in the bishop’s storehouse with her husband.
Survived by her husband, Clyde, Ferron; children, Connie and Larry Anderson, Joan Smith, Becky and Kurt Larsen, John and Sandra Behling, Loran and Lisa Behling, all of Ferron; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Norma Huntington Delore Beach and Lorraine Carlson, both of South Dakota; and Martin Beach, Oregon. Preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at the old Ferron LDS Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Kenneth Ralph World
FARMINGTON, N.M. – Kenneth Ralph World, 64, passed away Aug. 3, 2002 at his home in Farmington, N.M.
He was born May 6, 1938 to Ralph and Anna Kaydas World in Price. He married Janice Huff and they had three children, Mark, Kevin and Sheri.
Ken learned tp drive a truck at a young age when he worked for Wells House Moving in Wellington. Driving a truck became his love and turned into a professional career as he worked for Garrett Freight Line and PIE Trucking for over 30 years.
He loved to spend time fishing and traveling. He is loved and will be missed by his childhood friends, Sheridan Judd, Mickey Axelgard and Brenda Kalatzes.
Survived by fiance, Mary Lacey, Farmington, N.M.; son, Kevin (Denise) World, Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren, Michael, Sandy and Nicole World and Joshua Wilson; uncle, Johnny (Mary) Kaydas, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Delwin (Renee) Wells, Salt Lake; nieces and nephews, Craig (Debbie) Wells, Scott (Leonette) Wells; Terry, Paula, Sam and Hayley Smith; cousins, Darlene and Bob Frandsen. Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norma Wells; wife, Janice, son, Mark; and daughter, Sheri.
May you find peace and happiness in this new journey, Uncle Ken. We love you!
Graveside services were Aug. 12 in the Price City Cemetery.
