Local tumblers compete and place at regional tournament

Nicky Woodbury completes a straddle pike on the trampoline during a regional tumbling competition held in Ogden May 17-18. Teams from as far as Alaska and New Mexico attended the event which was highly competative. Also at the event were tumblers from Carbon County.
When the awards were handed out, Woodbury walked away with three awards along with teammate Amber Fralick who also received three awards. Woodbury placed eighth in power tumbling, fifth in double mini tramp, and eighth in trampoline. Fralick finished the event in ranked 13 in the power tumbling event, while ranking 15 in double mini tramp, and ninth in the trampoline category. Woodbury and Fralick will now compete at the state tournament in Spanish Fork and are also members of USA Gymnastics.
Other local gymnasts who also competed in the regional tournament included Brett Oliver, Canessa Montoya, Takayl Lambson, Jessica and Ben Moody, Chelsea Wiggains, Nikki Sillitoe, Cera Petersen, Taylor Phillips, and Rebecca Rummel.
