Two people were killed in a head-on collision on US 191 in Indian Canyon Friday morning. Another person was transported by air to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in critical condition following the crash.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 9:30 a.m. Friday when a southbound Ford Ranger crossed over the center line and struck a northbound Coach Motor Home. The impact mangled the vehicles and scattered debris over the highway. The accident happened near mile marker 282, which is about 8 miles south of Duchesne.
A male in his 40s was driving the Ranger and a male in his 60s was driving the motor home. Both died at the scene. A female passenger in the motorhome was taken to the hospital. The names of the victims have yet to be released.
The highway was closed for the investigation and clean up. The UHP said it hasn’t been determined why the pickup crossed over into the oncoming lane.
