Hwy 6 Barrel Hill accident update

Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a multiple-vehicle traffic accident at milepost 268 on U.S. Highway 6 Wednesday afternoon.
According to police radio traffic, the accident involved a tractor-trailer rig and several smaller vehicles. The number of people injured and the extent of their injuries was unknown at press time.
Motorists made the most of the delay as the incident closed traffic in both directions for more than two hours. Eastbound traffic, heavy with spring break revelers was backed up for three miles before officials began alternating traffic past the accident scene.
