Carbon County’s long Independence Day weekend featured two traditional events. Above, fireworks reflected off Scofield Lake Saturday night as the grand finale of the Pleasant Valley Days events. Right, contestants vied to see who had the best speed and endurance at shoveling coal at the Southeastern Utah Energy Producers Energy Days at the County Fairgrounds.
