Percy (George) Burgess

Percy (George) Burgess, 63, passed away June 6th, 2017 unexpectedly at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. Born October 28th, 1953 to Percy and Edna (Harris) in Long Beach, California. George was raised in Ritchey Canyon, California before moving to Elmo, Utah. He married Sherry Madrigal in 1977, and together they had their son Brandon. They later divorced, he then met the love of his life, Corrine Marquez. George loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, riding his Harley but his greatest love were his granddaughters Breann and Sheena Burgess. George worked as an Ironworker and Crane Operator traveling to many jobs across the U.S. He won many Blue Ribbons for Gymkhana, he was Executive Board member for U.M.W.A.
Survived by his son Brandon (Misty) Burgess, Kentucky, granddaughters Breann and Sheena Burgess, two brothers Rolland (Monica) Burgess, Elmo, Frank (Shelly) Burgess, Moab, one sister Margo Burgess Gould, Australia and cousin Georgia Aristides-Cypress, Greece, nephews, Frank Jr., Allen, Sean and niece Ashley.
Preceded in death by his parents and Corrine.
A private family celebration is scheduled for a later date.
