Clarence Wayne (Wayno) Cyfers

HELPER-Clarence Wayne (Wayno) Cyfers left to go fishing with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 12, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  He was born January 15, 1923 in Gill, WV to Andrew J. Cyfers and Nancy Frye Cyfers and was the youngest of 11 children.
He married the love of his life Ruth B. Spears Cyfers on October 4, 1950 in Catlettsburg, KY.  Wayne served during WW II in the 187th Glider Infantry 11th Airborn (paratrooper) in the Pacific Theater and was called up in the Army Reserves during the Korean War and served at Ft. Campbell, KY.
Wayne moved from West Virginia to Price, Utah in 1966 where he owned and operated Cyfers Cable Repair for 20 years.
Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman, (always after a big dude). He loved and continued gardening until age 92.  Wayne found joy sharing fish, fruit, vegetables and a good fishing tale with his friends and neighbors.  He was always whistling, singing with a great big smile and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife and caretaker Ruth; children: Roger (Dottie) Cyfers, Debra (Roy) Wheeler, Teressa (Richard) Perry, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Steven, six sisters, four brothers and most of his hunting and fishing buddies.  His internment will be in West Virginia on the family farm where he loved and his heart truly longed to be.
Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome to share memories at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
