Two Price residents have been booked into jail on charges related to alleged distribution of drugs from a motel room. They were arrested July 24 after police received a tip regarding drug activity at a local motel, and began investigating.
Captain Bill Barnes, of the Price Police Department, identified the pair as 33 year old Jared Michael D’Ambrosio and 30 year old Malisa Marie Walberg. Both subjects have a history of drug-related offenses.
According to a news release, both D’Ambrosio and Walberg were cooperative with Price City Officers and assisting UHP Troopers, by consenting to a search of the room and allegedly admitting to drug dealing activities. During the search a large quantity of illegal drugs was located and seized, including more than 24 grams of methamphetamine and over 70 grams of heroin. D’Ambrosio was found to be in possession of another 4.3 grams of meth and 25 grams of heroin, along with drug paraphernalia and cash.
Both subjects face felony charges of possession with intent to distribute drugs and some lesser charges. The Carbon County Attorney’s Office will screen the police report and determine the appropriate charges to file.
D’Ambrosio has 13 previous arrests and was out on bail for a drug case that occurred in September of 2016. Walberg has nine previous arrests and was out on bail for a drug distribution case in May of this year.
